Coriander is the dried seeds of cilantro and have a warm, mild and sweetish flavor with a citrus undertone similar to orange peel. Most often used in North American, Mediterranean, North African, Mexican, Indian and Southeast Asian cuisines. Popular applications are whole or ground in curry powder, garam masala, pickling, sausage, soups, stews and ratatouille but it is commonly used in many other dishes as well.
